SUNDAY was an extremely proud day for Warrington footballer Luke Cundle.
The 19-year-old – a former Warrington Town junior player – made an outstanding full Premier League debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Playing from the start, midfielder Cundle was on the field for 84 minutes as Wolves won 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur and his passing accuracy of 96 per cent was higher than any other player.
"Playing out there was a feeling I've never had before."

While playing for Warrington Town Juniors, Cundle was scouted by Burnley and joined their academy system before moving to Wolves in 2014.
Having made three senior appearances as substitutes in cup matches – the first being against Reading in September 2019 – Cundle's top-flight bow came last month as he came off the bench in stoppage time during Wolves' 3-1 win over Southampton.
