THE latest addition to Time Square wants to bring a ‘city centre offering’ to the area.
Directors James Wrigley and Tom Buckley met through football and want to bring their expertise in opening venues in Manchester and Liverpool to the town.
Parlour is based around New York-style pizzas, burgers and salads paired with drinks from a menu of local beers, cocktails and excellent wines, as well as artisan coffee, teas, smoothies and brunch.
It will also provide a New York take on a roast too on a Sunday and other elements from across the pond as part of the ‘city centre offering’ in Warrington.
James said: “Tom was very impressed with the Time Square development and recommended that we have a look at it from a business perspective.
“We are trying to provide what we would call a ‘city centre offering’ in Manchester or Liverpool that is in Warrington so people don’t need to get trains and taxis to go there.
“We want to provide something for people in Warrington that is closer and easier to get to and they can save money on the taxi too.”
Parlour, a debut venture, leaves just two units to be filled at Time Square.
James, from Stockport and Tom, from Stockton Heath, are supported by two investors from the latter village, so they are keen to work within the town.
“It’s quite a big site for a true independent to take on and it’s a first for us,” added James.
“We are looking to stay as local as we can for all of our suppliers.”
James sees competition in other smart restaurants around town.
The 41-year-old continued: “With Newtons, we are both targeting different customers as they are doing darts.
“We see San Lorenzo’s as competition from a food point of view, Rudy’s in Stockton Heath and venues such as that and obviously The Botanist two doors away.
“We see it as an all-day and all-night venue and we intend on starting with brunches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“We were ready to sign the lease before Covid hit, it’s been a long-time coming which makes it even sweeter.”
