AN air ambulance was called out this afternoon after a serious incident saw police shut off a street.
O’Leary Street in Orford was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident at around 4pm today, Friday.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that a woman in her 40s was seriously injured after falling in the road, near to the junction with Marsh House Lane, and was rushed to hospital.
A force spokesman said: "Officers were called to O'Leary Street just after 3.50pm on Friday, February 4, following reports that a woman had fallen into the road.
"The woman, aged in her 40s, sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment."
