THREE patients have died at Warrington Hospital in just 24 hours after testing positive for coronavirus.
The sad news was confirmed this afternoon, Tuesday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its latest Covid-19 update.
It means that the hospital’s virus death toll as a result has risen to 612.
At present, 41 beds at the Lovely Lane site are occupied by patients that have tested positive for Covis-19 in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, only one is in the intensive care unit.
This is a rise of three patients since yesterday, although the number in the ICU remains unchanged.
