NO new deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours at Warrington Hospital of patients that had tested positive for coronavirus.
The positive news was confirmed this afternoon, Friday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily Covid-19 briefing.
It means that as a result, the trust’s virus death toll remains at 605.
At present, 39 beds on the Lovely Lane site’s Covid ward are occupied by patients that have tested positive for the virus in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, only one is in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

This is a fall of four patients since yesterday, with the number in the ICU remaining the same.
Moreover, an additional eight patients have been discharged from Warrington Hospital since yesterday after recovering from coronavirus.
This takes the trust’s Covid-19 discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 2,981.
