A WARRINGTON resident has been handed a hefty fine by the courts for a breach of coronavirus restrictions.
Gabriel Sava was proven to have contravened the travel requirement to book a day two and day eight Covid-19 test.
This was in breach of Health Protection Coronavirus International Travel Regulations.
The 48-year-old, of Riverside Close in Howley, was ruled to have committed the offence on March 8 last year at Birmingham Airport.
Sava appeared before Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Monday January 24, where the defendant was told to pay a total of £2,026.
This is broken down into a fine of £1,760, as well as court costs of £90 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £176.
