ANOTHER patient at Warrington Hospital that had contracted coronavirus has sadly died in the past 24 hours.
The news was confirmed this afternoon, Thursday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily Covid-19 briefing.
It means that as a result, the hospital’s Covid death toll to date has now risen to 605.
At present, the Lovely Lane site is caring for 43 patients that had tested positive for the virus in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, only one is in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
This is a fall of three patients since yesterday, although the number in the ICU remains the same.

Moreover, an additional six patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours after recovering from coronavirus.
This takes the trust’s Covid-19 discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 2,973.
