TIM Hortons has revealed the opening date for its second Warrington branch.
The Canadian coffee giant announced last year that it would be creating a drive-thru store in the former Frankie and Benny’s restaurant at Gemini 8.
It had been set to open before Christmas, but this was delayed.
However, it has now confirmed an official opening date of 7am on Friday, January 14.
The first customer will be given free drinks for a year – a prize worth £3,100 – while breakfast meals will be given away to the first 100 customers.
And free drinks and donuts will be available for those using Tim Hortons’ digital wallet for the first time.
It will be the chain’s second premises in the town, the Golden Square Shopping Centre site having opened back in 2017.
The coffee shop will open from 6am to midnight, creating an estimated 40 new jobs.
Tim Hortons’ chief commercial officer for UK and Ireland Kevin Hydes said: “We're delighted to have secured another fantastic location in Warrington for our new drive-thru restaurant.
“Our existing restaurant in Golden Square has proved very popular with the local community, and we are looking forward to offering a drive thru restaurant to the town.
“The team are all very excited to greet our loyal fans visiting the new location and meeting new guests too.”
It comes after Frankie and Benny’s permanently vacated the unit in June last year.
