A CYCLIST was seriously injured in a crash involving a van, car and HGV on the M62.
The man in his 20s was taken to hospital where his condition is described as non life-threatening.
Police were called shortly after 6.30am on Saturday, December 4, following reports of a collision involving a cyclist, a Mercedes Sprinter van, a Nissan Qashqai and a HGV.
The crash happened on the westbound carriageway of the M62 between junction nine at Winwick and junction eight at Burtonwood.
The M62 was closed for six hours following a multiple crash
The motorway was closed for six hours as North West Motorway Police Group carried out investigation work.
