A SALON in Orford has been named as the best in the UK.

Kayleigh Louise Hair and Beauty Salon, on Martin Avenue, picked up the prestigious prize at the Great British Hair and Beauty Awards last month.

It is the latest in a string of top awards the businesses has received.

Owner Kayleigh Edwards said: "It was the biggest ceremony we have attended yet and we were up against some amazing salons over the north west and the UK.

"Never in a million years did we think we would win the best hair and beauty salon in the north west region, and then the big one – we were crowned overall winners out of all of the UK regions

"It was a dream come true.

"Myself and my team were screaming the whole place down when we got called out for the winners' title."

She added: "For us, it's not just about having that title.

"It shows that our clients who have voted for us and the judging panel see something different in us as a salon and a team .
