A MAN from Warrington has died after an incident at a warehouse.
The 45-year-old, who was working at the site on Gorsey Lane in Widnes, was injured during an incident involving a lorry shortly after 10.45pm yesterday, Tuesday.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before transferring him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Cheshire Police have since launched an investigation in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive.
A force spokesman said: "At around 10.50pm on Tuesday, November 30, police were called to reports of an incident at a warehouse on Gorsey Lane in Widnes.
"Officers attended the scene and found that a 45-year-old man, who was working at the site, had been involved in an incident involving a HGV.
"The man, who is from the Warrington area, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
“Sadly, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
"A full investigation into the cause of the incident has been launched by Cheshire Police in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive."
