STAFF and pupils from an Appleton primary school spread kindness in the community as part of a special event.
The Cobbs Infant and Nursery School youngsters celebrated World Kindness Day – a day to celebrate good deeds and inspire others to follow.
Children visited local elderly residents, giving them small gifts and cards to thank them for being the school’s neighbours.
They also visited care homes with gifts and performed songs for the residents.
Acts of kindness were also brought back to the children’s home as they made cards, helped with housework, complimented someone and gave unexpected hugs where needed.
The pupils learnt how ‘one act of kindness creates a ripple effect’ and can pass from one person to another.
Staff also joined in on the day, receiving kindness from each other in the form of small gifts or a task.
