THIS week in Looking Back we are travelling back to the 1980s.
We love this old picture from our archives of Mr Smith's in 1988.
The former nightclub, which also operated as a cinema in a previous life as the Ritz, hosted a Christmas light display each year.
And readers will have fond memories of this one with reindeer in Santa.
The tradition stopped in the 1990s but the site still had a connection with Christmas.
When the art deco building was destroyed by fire back in April 2015, the land was used as a Winter Wonderland fairground for three years.
