A STAR studded ball raised a staggering £24,000 for a Warrington charity.
Downton Abbey creator, Lord Fellowes, along with his wife, Lady Fellowes, welcomed hundreds of guests to the Glitz and Glamour themed Brainwave Ball held at the Mere Golf and Spa Hotel in Knutsford on November 13.
Olympic star Chris Hoy and TV presenter John Stapleton were among the guests fundraising for the children's charity.
Lord and Lady Fellowes are both Patrons of Brainwave, the Birchwood based charity which supports children with disabilities and additional needs in the north west and across the UK.
The charity was also supported by businesses who attended the evening, along with MC, John Stapleton and Brainwave ambassador, Natalie Preston who spoke about how the charity has supported her for nearly 30 years.
Guests enjoyed the opportunity to dance the night away and raise vital funds for Brainwave. The money raised on the evening will help children with disabilities reach their potential through specialist therapy programmes.
Fundraising manager, Joanne Freeman said “We are delighted to have successfully run a live event, attended by more than 200 guests and I’m so pleased that we raised funds for the charity and entertained our loyal donors.
"It was great to see our supporters face-to-face and we are so grateful for their support and donations received.”
The event was sponsored by CPM Engineering and Cavendish Nuclear.
Guests who attended the ball included Sir Chris Hoy, Lord and Lady Fellowes, John Stapleton and the Brainwave Team.
