THE majority of localised areas of Warrington saw coronavirus cases fall this past week.
In total, 14 communities across the borough experienced reductions in the transmission of new Covid cases, while 11 saw cases rise.
Stockton Heath and Hillcliffe is the area with the highest number of cases in the town, recording 46 at a rate of 510.1.
At the other end of the scale is Appleton Thorn, Stretton and Walton, where 13 cases were detected at a rate of 199.1.
Infection rates are published using Public Health England figures via an interactive map on the Government’s online coronavirus dashboard.
At the time of writing, the map displayed the number and rate of new cases in each area of Warrington in the seven days up to November 7.

- Kingswood and Whittle Hall – 37 (348 – down 17 cases)
- Winwick and Burtonwood – 33 (526.2 – up 9 cases)
- Hood Manor and Sankey Bridges – 33 (366.5 – down 5 cases)
- Padgate and Paddington – 32 (366.4 – down 32 cases)
- Central Warrington – 32 (276.8 – down 19 cases)
- Culcheth East and Hollins Green – 29 (454.9 – up 8 cases)
- Grappenhall and Thelwall – 28 (359.6 – down 8 cases)
- Bewsey and Dallam – 27 (320.7 – up 9 cases)
- Callands and Old Hall – 26 (233.9 – down 37 cases)
- Oakwood and Gorse Covert – 25 (472.5 – up 10 cases)
- Woolston – 23 (339.3 – down 4 cases)
- Hulme – 23 (277.6 – down 19 cases)
- Locking Stumps – 22 (443.3 – down 1 case)
- Houghton Green and Fearnhead – 21 (263.3 – down 24 cases)
