It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Especially as Father Christmas is coming to town and making his way around Warrington.
The Christmas countdown officially begins on November 28, which is the first day of advent and there are lots of events in the area that are perfect for a family day out.
We can’t think of anything better than visiting Santa in his Grotto, but there are also lots of Christmas markets and theatre shows you can see too.
Here’s a roundup of everywhere Father Christmas is visiting in Warrington this year and how you can meet him.
Gulliver's World
Where: Shackleton Close, Old Hall, Warrington WA5 9YZ
Gulliver's World is putting on a Christmas spectacular this year in Warrington.
The wintery experience will include rides and attractions for all the family and a North Pole Express train.
Children can choose their own gifts at the Elf Workshop and have the chance to meet Santa who will be making appearances throughout the day.
When is it?
The winter wonderland is open from Saturday November 27 until Friday December 31.
How much are tickets?
There are three different types of packages, all from £19.
Smasher
£19 for adults and children over 90cm.
£5 for children under 90cm and £13 concessionary.

Warrington Lions’ Santa sleigh
Santa and his sleigh will tour the town for 13 nights beginning on Saturday December 4.
The route has been announced by the Lions, with a more detailed itinerary being revealed on the day:
- Lidl in Latchford at 4.30pm on December 4
- Stag pub in Walton from 5pm on December 5
- Fairfield Street, Fairfield, at 5.30pm on December 6
- Jackson Avenue in Paddington on December 7
- St Oswald’s Church in Padgate at 5.30pm on December 8
- Barnfield Road in Woolston at 5.30pm on December 10
- Howson Road in Orford at 4.30pm on December 11
- Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub from 4.30pm on December 12
- Monmouth Close in Woolston at 5.30p on December 13
- Dam Lane in Woolston at 5.30pm on December 14
- Slater Street in Latchford at 5.30pm on December 15
- Gainsborough Road in Lower Walton at 5.30pm on December 17
- Blackburne Arms pub in Orford from 4.30pm on both December 18 and 19.

The Hayloft
Where: The Hayloft, Sandy Lane Farm, Sandy Lane, Bold, WA8 3XP
This is a 50-minute experience where you can join the elves in their enchanting workshop, write your letter to Santa and receive some magic reindeer food from the elves.
Enjoy a tractor and trailer ride to see Santa in his magical grotto and receive a gift.
When is it?
The experience since from 9.30am - 6.40pm on the following weekends:
- December 4 & 5
- December 11 & 12
- December 18 & 19
- December 23 & 24
How much are tickets?
£16 per child including gift and tractor ride
£5 per adult (14 years +) including tractor ride.
Under 1s, £6 with an older paying sibling and will receive a gift.
Under 1s without an older paying sibling will require a full child ticket.
Please note, there is a maximum of two adult tickets per family.

High Legh Minature Railway
Where: High Legh Miniature Railway, High Legh Garden Centre, Halliwells Brow, High Legh, WA16 0QW
Father Christmas will be in his Grotto, and children will get to see him from the train ride, however, it will not include a gift this year.
When is it?
Every Saturday and Sunday from November 27 - December 19 and also on December 22, 23 and 24 from 10.30am - 4pm.
How much are tickets?
£3 per person to ride the train and under 12 months go free.
No booking is necessary and there will be four trains running at once, menaing there shouldn't be any queues.
Dunham Massey
Where: National Trust Dunham Massey, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 4SJ
Dunham Massey has a Christmas specular this winter with over a million lights, lasers and seasonal sounds filling the air.
Father Christmas will be along the trail and there will be independent street food vendors bringing tasty treats.
When is it?

- Wednesday November 24 - Sunday November 28
- Wednesday November 1 - Sunday December 5
