A COVID rule breaker, a man who damaged a custody cell and a jilted lover who faked racist messages from her former Tinder match were just a few cases to appear before Warrington Magistrates’ Court this week.

Woman fined over £500 after flouting Covid rules

A WIDNES who flouted coronavirus restrictions was fined over £500 by the courts.

The case of Jade Donlan appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The 41-year-old, was found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling or indoors in a tier four area.

Donlan, of Millfield Road, Widnes, was fined £300, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and will pay £200 court costs.

In total she was fined £534 by the courts and has until November 22, 2021, to pay the costs.

Warrington man jailed after damaging custody cell and mobile phone

A WARRINGTON man has been jailed after causing damage to a mobile phone and cell while in custody.

Adam Robert Clare, of no fixed abode, appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court via video link on Monday, October 25, to two counts of criminal damage.

Clare caused £36.92 worth of damage to his cell at Cheshire Police Custody Suite in Runcorn as well as damaging a mobile phone belonging to Cheshire Police.

The 28-year-old was handed a one-week prison sentence as the offence was ‘so serious’ because he was already in custody on remand.

The offence was also aggravated by Clare’s record of previous offending.

He was ordered to pay costs of £136.92.

Motorist caught driving without insurance on Wilderspool Causeway

A MOTORIST was caught driving without the relevant insurance on Wilderspool Causeway.

The case of Geoffrey Ladner, 24, appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday October 25.

Ladner was found guilty of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance.

Ladner, of Gloucester Street, St Helens, was driving a Fiat when he committed the offence.

He was fined £826 and received six points on his driver’s licence.

Jilted lover jailed after faking white supremacist messages from ex-Tinder match

AN ex-Cambridge student who set up fake email accounts and faked racist and misogynist messages from her former Tinder match has been jailed.

Cheyenne Callaina, also known as Cheyenne Kennmuir, appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after being found guilty of harassment.

She sent anonymous emails to his university, framing him for racist and misogynist messages – resulting in a temporary suspension.

The victim also ended up being arrested in his family home because of the faked messages.

Callaina received a 26-week prison sentence as the offence caused so much distress, anxiety and disruption to the life of the victim.

She was also issued a criminal behaviour order and made subject to a restraining order.

Callaina was ordered to pay the victim compensation of £1,000.
