HOW often do you see something like this?
Warrington Wolves fan Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the Commons, had the chance to give Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, a personalised Wire shirt at the annual G7 Speakers Conference.
Son of Doug Hoyle, a former Warrington MP, Sir Lindsay hosted the conference in his home parliamentary constituency of Chorley at Astley Hall.
And during the event on September 17-19, he did not pass up the chance to provide Nancy, a fan of American football side San Francisco 49ers, with a shirt so she can don the yellow and blue colours.
Host Sir Lindsay welcomed seven of the world’s most important politicians from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the USA.
The 64-year-old presented each of them with personalised Wire shirts.
