FINALLY, Rhiannon Dixon is getting back in the ring.
More than two years since her last fight, the Great Sankey boxer returns to action on Sunday at the Whites Hotel in Bolton.
She has two wins from as many fights since turning professional but had to shelve her promising career when Covid hit.
Dixon spent lockdown working on the Covid wards at Whiston Hospital as part of her day job as a pharmacist.
Now, with the sponsorship of Golden Square Shopping Centre behind her, she is looking forward to getting the gloves back on.
“I’m so grateful to have the support of Golden Square sponsoring me for my upcoming fight and helping me achieve my ambitions," she said.
“I’ve had many happy childhood memories shopping at Golden Square and I can’t wait for my nutrition plan to be over after my fight so I can go shop and eat out there again!
“It’s really fantastic to have my home town behind me. I’m so proud to represent Warrington as I’ve been born and raised here and have so much respect and admiration for how our town has grown."
The card also features Dixon's fellow Warringtonian Casey Brown, who will be making his professional debut.
