ONE of the Tour of Britain cyclists will know his way around Warrington better than most when Stage Five finishes in the town centre today.
Lymm-born Matthew Gibson is one of the 107 riders taking part in this year's race, meaning crowds that gather to welcome them to the town will have a local boy to cheer on.
Gibson is a former Warrington Road Club rider who now competes for the Ribble-Weldite team.
So far in this year's Tour of Britain, the 25-year-old's best finish has been 14th in Stage Two between Sherford and Exeter on Monday while he helped his Ribble-Weldite team to eighth place in the team time trial on Tuesday.
