THE annual Hatton and District Show will be making a return this Saturday after last year’s was held virtually.

The show has been in existence since the 1890s but has been held in Daresbury since the Second World War.

There have only been two missed shows since the war – one in 2001 due to foot and mouth disease and one last year due to Covid, although it was held virtually instead.

Events kick off with the horse show in the morning at around 9am and continue with the opening of the marquees for the traditional village show at 1:30pm.

Exhibits will vary from flowers, vegetables, junior, farm, handicraft and a domestic section.

There will be lots to ‘see and do’, including a gin and real ale bar, WI refreshments, artisan crafts, live music and a bodger and willow weaving.

Tickets are available on the gate, cash only, and via Eventbrite.
