FORECASTERS have issued weather warnings for tomorrow, Saturday, for Cheshire and Warrington with thunderstorms and heavy showers.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across most of England.
It will come in to force at 12pm tomorrow and will remain through to 10pm on Saturday evening.
It is possible that the heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some transport disruption and perhaps floodin.
Driving conditions will also be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail – leading to longer journey times.
Delays to train services are also possible as well as some short term loss of power and other services with possible damage due to lightening.
Flooding of a few homes and businesses could occur.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Following rain overnight and during the morning, heavier showers and thunderstorms are likely to break out by late morning.
“These becoming more widespread into the afternoon, with torrential downpours possible in a few places, bringing around 20 mm of rain in less than an hour and 30-40 mm in a couple of hours.
“Lightning and hail may prove additional hazards in some locations.”
