TWO Kids Planet nurseries in Warrington have been shortlisted for prestigious national awards.

Kids Planet Beamont has been shortlisted for the Inclusive Practice Award and Kids Planet Stretton has been shortlisted for Enabling Environments Award at the Nursery World Awards.

The annual awards celebrate best practice in the sector and the winners are selected by a prominent panel of expert judges.

Julie Caddick, nursery manager at Kids Planet Beamont on O'Leary Street, Warrington, said: “In the nursery we have an outstanding approach and high knowledge of all things SEND.

‘‘In often challenging situations, the dedication and enthusiasm of the practitioners is impeccable.

‘‘Their commitment to support our children and their families is amazing so to be shortlisted for the Inclusive Practice Award is really rewarding”.

Kids Planet Stretton have recently developed and enhanced their outdoor area to ensure that it supports development for children across all the age groups.

Sarah Foster, nursery manager at the setting in South Warrington, said: “Our children thrive being outside and spend a long time exploring and engaging within the environment.

‘‘Our large outdoor area is constantly being updated to support the interests and development of our current children.

‘‘We’re delighted to be recognised in these awards”.

As a group, Kids Planet who now have 75 settings across the UK, have also been shortlisted for Nursery Group of the Year and Online and Social Media Award.

The childcare group, which was founded in 2008 by Lymm mum, Clare Roberts recently achieved the number one spot in the Nursery Chains 2021 quality table.

The winners of the Nursery World Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on 25th September.
