A MAN wanted for domestic assault has been arrested after driving his car at a police officer.
Armed police joined forces with officers from Cheshire and North Wales to apprehend the suspect.
The man's car was spotted driving on the M6 and was stopped after a police chase.
Officers had to implement tactical pursuit and containment measures such as rolling road blocks and a spike stop to prevent the suspect escaping.
Warrington police and Cheshire police roads and crime unit teamed up with armed officers from Cheshire and North Wales and North west transport police in a painstaking operation earlier today.
