BURNT food appeared to contribute to a fire in a flat in Orford in the early hours of this morning.
At around 12.15am firefighters were called to reports of a fire in a flat on Festival Crescent, Orford.
On arrival at the scene firefighters entered the flat and found a small amount of smoke logging which appeared to have been caused by burnt food.
One person was led to safety and firefighters used a large fan to clear the smoke from the flat.
Three fire engines attended from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Birchwood.
The crew were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
