POLICE have released two men on bail who were being questioned following the suspicious death of a 38-year-old on Christmas Eve.
The pair, aged 36 and 44 from Warrington, had been arrested after Alan Devine was found dead at a flat on Woodvale Close in Padgate at 9am.
Mr Devine, from Sinclair Avenue in Longford, was found by ambulance staff. Police did originally say he was 35 although his age has now been confirmed as 38.
A post mortem to find out a cause of death, carried out by a home office pathologist earlier in the week, proved inconclusive and further toxicology tests will now take place.
Detectives say that could take "some weeks".
A police tent was set up on Christmas Eve to allow forensic tests to take place.
