THIS is the moment that a killer gangster fled the country before remaining at large for the best part of two decades.
Christopher Guest More Jnr was today convicted of the brutal torture murder of Brian Waters, who was subjected to a horrific four-hour ordeal before his death in June 2003.
Two days after the killing, More left the country by boarding a flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Malaga.
He was not seen in the UK again for nearly 17 years.
Having been found guilty of murder by a jury, Cheshire Police have now released CCTV footage of him laughing and joking as he strolls through the airport with his luggage in hand.
After flying to Spain, More gained a false passport under the identity Andrew Lamb and travelled onwards to South Africa, Mozambique and Turkey before settling in Malta in 2007.
It was here that he was captured in 2019 after being named as one of Europe’s most wanted men.
