THE death of one patient who tested positive for coronavirus was recorded at Warrington Hospital over the past 24 hours.
The sad news was confirmed this afternoon, Tuesday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
As a result, the trust’s virus death toll now stands at 482.
The number of patients receiving care at Warrington Hospital remains steady, thanks to the discharge of a further four patients following their recovery from the virus.
At present, 58 beds at the Lovely Lane site are occupied by Covid-positive patients, of which eight are in the intensive care unit.

The hospital’s discharge total since the start of the pandemic has now reached 1,858.
To date, the hospital trust has conducted 71,060 tests for Covid-19, with 5,186 producing a positive result.
