WARRINGTON Wolves Women have unveiled a new captain for their maiden Super League season.
It was confirmed today that flying winger Michelle Davis will lead the side for their first ever season in the top flight.
She replaces previous skipper Roxy Murdoch, who has returned to New Zealand alongside her husband - the recently-departed Wire forward Ben Murdoch-Masila.
The club have also revealed that hooker Dani Bound will be the team's vice-captain for 2021.

Davis reacted to the news on Twitter, saying she was 'super proud' to be leading her teammates.

After winning promotion in their inaugural season in 2019, last year was supposed to be the Wire Women's first in the big time.
However, the 2020 Women's Super League season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and as of yet, there is no official start date for this year's competition.
