A MEDICAL student from Rixton has raised more than £580 to buy new toys for Warrington Hospital.
Charlotte Hankinson, 23, studies at the University of Liverpool and has helped ensure children are kept entertained during their time in hospital.
Proud grandparents, Colin and Marion Hankinson, said: "Our lovely granddaughter has raised the astonishing amount of £582 to equip the Children's Ward and Emergency Department at Warrington Hospital with new toys, including a play kitchen and shop.
"Many thanks to friends and family for their generous donations, and also to Tesco Warrington.
"We know our modest granddaughter won't promote herself, but we would like to think her efforts have been recognised."
Dr Colin Wong, paediatric consultant at Warrington Hospital, added: "Thank you Charlotte for all the money you have raised, which will help equip the Children's Emergency Department at Warrington Hospital with toys in the waiting area, books and stationery for the children, and gifts for our poorly patients at Christmas!"
