FORMER Warrington South MP Faisal Rashid will stand in the all-out borough council election for Labour in May.
The politician – who is also a former Mayor of Warrington – has been selected as a candidate for the Rixton and Woolston ward.
In a tweet, he said: “Really pleased to be selected as Labour candidate for Rixton & Woolston ward in May 2021 elections.
“Thank you to members for showing trust in me and I will work hard as I have always done and make them proud.”
Every seat in the town will be up for grabs at the all-out borough election on May 7.
