PUPILS at Cinnamon Brow CE Primary School stepped back in time to experience life as a Victorian schoolchild.
The 95 year five and six pupils wore 19th century uniforms to school last Wednesday.
"It started as soon as they got there," said teacher Sinead Marrow.
"They were split into boys and girls and had their hands checked before they went into school," she said.
"The aim is to give them an insight into school life in the Victorian days, to make it real and bring it to life," said Sinead.
The children have been studying the Victorians in history.
Even their curriculum took a step back in time for the day, with the focus on reading, writing and arithmetic.
And at playtime only Victorian games were allowed.
