A MAN has been charged with perverting the course of justice after allegedly disposing of a gun used by criminals.
Stuart Shaw, from Orford, is accused of ‘conspiring with others’ to dispose of the firearm – a Czech CZ P-09 9mm Parabellum pistol – in the town on October 4 last year.
The 35-year-old, of Ullswater Avenue, appeared before Manchester Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 21.
But the hearing was adjourned due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Shaw will now appear before the same court in August.
