AN illegal immigrant has been jailed by magistrates.

Saman Salah, of the Daresbury Park Hotel on Chester Road, appeared before Warrington Magistrates Court on Saturday, May 16.

He admitted an offence under the Immigration Act 1971, having illegally entered the country at the port of Dover on Monday, April 27.

The court heard that this was the second time that Salah has breached the UK’s immigration rules.

And the 29-year-old was jailed for eight weeks and told to pay a victim surcharge.
