FRESH fruit and vegetable boxes can now be delivered to people's doors in Warrington throughout the Covid-19 crisis.
It is an initiative by the team at Warrington Fruit and Veg at Warrington Market to keep their self isolating customers supplied with the essentials.
The launch of the online store and rollout saw more than 50 orders in 15 minutes.
A statement on Warrington Market's Facebook page said: "The team will not be taking bespoke orders due to the expected demand, instead they will be selling fruit and veg boxes for £20 which will be jam packed with plenty of produce to see you through the week.
"Please be patient with the team during this time, as they are currently running a trial day to ensure the process runs smoothly before rolling out fully.
"Again, this is a small independent trader doing what they can to help their community during these difficult times, so please try and leave slots for the most vulnerable.
"Your patience and support is, as always, much appreciated."
Orders can be placed at warringtonfruit.co.uk and payments can be made using Paypal.
Warrington Fruit and Veg can also still be visited in person at Warrington Market but with the reduced operating hours of 9am to 2pm.
