A BEWSEY cafe – run by a daughter and mum team – has introduced a new grill menu so diners can get pub-style favourites to enjoy at home.

Cafe Fresh in Grafton Street now serves the likes of a mixed grill, which includes steak, gammon, chicken, sausage and lamb, as well as kebabs.

They are served with handcut chips, onion rings, coleslaw and salad and the plan is to introduce gourmet burgers in the near future.

Warrington Guardian:

Leeanne Hughes runs the cafe with her mum Jeanette.

The 28-year-old said: "We have introduced this because it’s a favourite when it comes to people going to pubs or restaurants so why not give people the choice to get it delivered to their door?"

Leeanne previously worked as a cafe coordinator for Warrington Disability Partnership and has had a variety of catering jobs over the years from chef to kitchen manager.

The Orford resident made a spur of the moment decision to make an offer on the cafe when it came up for sale last year and her mum, who was working as a laundry assistant at Keate House in Lymm at the time, joined the team when they launched in August.

The bestseller is the classic full English – with a veggie option also available – while Jeanette freshly bakes and decorates all the homemade cakes including customer favourite, the strawberries and cream cake.

Leeanne, who attended St Aelred's in Newton, added: "Working with my mum is the best thing I could have done. We’re both equal when it comes to management and we get along as a team.

"I couldn’t imagine going into this without her and the amount she has supported me with starting up and making it what it is today is amazing.

"No two days are the same and the good reviews and feedback from customers make it worth everything we put into it."
