ANOTHER delivery firm has secured a move to Omega.
Ecommerce and specialist distribution company the Delivery Group has leased a 137,865sq ft unit at the site, which it will use as its ‘new specialist mail hub’.
It follows the letting of a 346,152sq ft building to the Royal Mail – which will become a ‘parcel super hub’ – by industrial and logistics property developer Mountpark Logistics.
The Delivery Group’s managing director James Wilkins said: “The Delivery Group handles over a billion items a year, and as we continue to grow this new distribution hub will help us to handle increasing demand for our services both nationally and internationally.
“We needed to get this new operation up and running in a short timescale, and Mountpark has been very helpful in accommodating us.”
And the firm’s new home also has space for further expansion.
Other occupiers of property on Omega include Amazon, Hermes Parcelnet, the Hut Group and Asda.
Mountpark has funded and built four units totalling 757,555sq ft at the site for the distribution sector, in partnership with Omega Warrington Ltd and Homes England.
Development director Tom Kilmister said: “We are delighted to welcome the Delivery Group to Mountpark Warrington Omega, and we look forward to building the good working relationship we have already established.
“Our aim is to offer customers the best property opportunities on the market, and at Warrington Omega we have one of North West’s prime logistics locations, due to the site’s accessibility and connectivity.”
