Anyone who changes their Twitter name to ‘Harland Sanders’ for 24 hours will be in with the chance to win the finger lickin' prize.
Fans need to follow these steps:
1. Change your Twitter name to 'Harland Sanders' on Monday, September 9
2. Follow the official KFC UK and Ireland twitter account
3. Retweet the competition tweet on this account, remembering to include the hashtag #HappyBirthdayColonel
The winner will be announced on September 10.
A spokesperson from KFC UK and Ireland said: "Colonel Sanders was an inspiration.
"Starting with only $87, he was able to turn his top-secret original recipe into a world famous success.
"The recipe has since stood the test of time and made the Colonel into one of the most recognizable men in the world.
"On the day of his birth, let’s raise a drumstick for the pioneer who created our iconic finger lickin' fried chicken!"
