A WARRINGTON truck stop was the location for one of Coronation Street's most dramatic scenes so far this year on Friday.
Eagle eyed viewers might have recognised the hit soap chose the stop on the corner of Moat Lane and Manchester Road, Rixton for the spot of Jan Lozinski’s (Piotr Baumann) shooting.
The scene was filmed around eight weeks ago and saw Cobbles legend Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) scream in horror as her boyfriend was shot by trafficker Rachel Healy (Verity Henry).
It was the climax of a modern slavery storyline where a number of nail bar workers were rescued from traffickers.
The stop’s Moat Café could be seen as Jan said goodbye to Eileen who decided not to flee to Amsterdam with him after his role as a police informant.
