A 19-YEAR-OLD man has died after falling ill at Creamfields.
Police say he fell unwell at the Daresbury dance festival at around 12.15am today, Sunday.
The festival-goer was seen to be looking unwell by security staff at the site who notified police and medical staff and he was taken to a nearby medical tent before being rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Detective Inspector Alistair Hinze, from Cheshire Police, said: “There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
“A file will prepared for the coroner and our thoughts are with the family at this incredibly difficult time.”
A Creamfields spokesperson added: “We are deeply saddened to hear of this tragic accident.
“We send our deepest condolences to his loved ones and we continue to work closely with the authorities.”
A post mortem examination will now take place to establish the cause of death.
