POLICE have discovered a large-scale cannabis farm growing inside a disused town centre nightclub.
Officers raided the former Eivissa bar on Bridge Street shortly after 10.30am yesterday, Sunday, in response to a tip-off from members of the public.
Inside, they discovered around 1,000 cannabis plants growing in the vacant building.
Two 16-year-old boys and a 27-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of production of a class B drug in connection with the raid.
They have since been released pending further investigations.
The nightclub remains cordoned off this morning, Monday – with police vans on scene dismantling the cannabis farm.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "During the morning of Sunday, June 16, officers attended a disused nightclub on Bridge Street following information from members of the public that cannabis was being grown inside the premises.
"A large cannabis farm was discovered and a large number of plants - around 1,000 - were discovered.
"Two boys aged 16 and a man aged 27 have been arrested in connection with the incident, and since released under investigation."
