A BURGLAR who broke into two plumbing businesses during a day-long crime spree has been jailed.
David Joyce took £250 in cash, copper piping and a CCTV hard drive during a burglary at Cumbrian Heating Components on New Cut Lane in Woolston on Thursday, May 9.

The same day, the 27-year-old also broke into the premises of City Plumbing in Widnes – pinching seven boilers, valued at a total of £8,000.
Joyce also stole a Ford Transit van – which was damaged before being recovered – in Widnes and drove dangerously in Manchester during the crime spree.
He admitted two counts of burglary, dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and driving without insurance and was jailed for three-and-a-half years by judge Simon Berkson at Chester Crown Court on Friday, June 7.

The defendant, who lives on a caravan site in Manchester, will be banned from driving for three years upon his release from prison and was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £170.
