A CRASH involving two lorries is causing six miles of slow moving traffic and delays of up to 50 minutes on the M56 eastbound.
One lane is currently closed because of the incident from J10 A49 Tarporley Road (Stretton) to J9 M6 (Lymm Interchange) - causing six miles of queues.
Congestion stretches back to J12 for Runcorn.
Travel time is between 45 to 50 minutes, with lane one of three closed.
One fire engine dispatched from Lymm arrived at the scene at 2.15pm to make the vehicles safe.
No one was trapped inside the vehicles and an ambulance was not required, however contents from one of the vehicles has spilled out onto the road.
