IT looked like it was going to be a long road back to fitness after Kevin Brown suffered a season-ending injury at the start of the year.
But fans have been delighted to see the Warrington Wolves star is officially on the road to recovery.
The veteran half-back ruptured his Achilles tendon during training in January meaning his 2019 season was over before it had even started.
The club said at the time the injury was expected to keep him out for around nine months.
He posted on Instagram today, Tuesday, a video of himself running alongside assistant coach Andrew Henderson and operations manager Kylie Leuluai with many of his teammates and fans commenting underneath to wish him well.
The post adds: "Feels good to have the boots back on! Shout out to the two old legends helping me get through it."
Richie Mathers added: "That’s as good a sight as I’ve seen in a long time."
While others joked he would soon be ready to take on the Wire Flyer.
