BRITAIN’S most luxurious train will call at Warrington next month - to take people on a day trip to Paradise.
The Northern Belle – seven 1930s-style Pullman carriages hauled by a vintage diesel locomotive – is heading for Scarborough.
And there in the Yorkshire seaside resort is a little street that is simply called “Paradise”.
It runs up to 12th century St Marys Church where novelist Anne Bronte was buried.
The Northern Belle will be making two visits to Warrington Bank Quay station during May.
As well as Scarborough on Sunday, May 4, it will run to Bath on May 17.
Northern Belle managing director Jeanette Snape said: “Paradise may be in Scarborough, but travelling on our train is heavenly too.
“It transports passengers back to the golden days of rail travel – when the journey was as important as arriving."

Passengers on both trains will be greeted by liveried stewards and served a Bellini cocktail before sitting down to a three-course brunch on the outward journey.
Then on the return journey there will be a champagne reception followed by a five-course dinner.
Fares for the trips start at £305. For further details see northernbelle.co.uk or phone 01270 899681.
