WORK to bring the glasshouses at Walton Hall back to life is nearing completion.
After winning almost £2 million of lottery funding, work started last year to restore the historic glasshouses at the estate.
Visitors to Walton Hall will have seen the fences go up around the area while the old, rotting buildings have been taken down and the site restored.
Last week, Warrington Guardian photographer was granted access to the construction site to see how work has been progressing.
When completed later this year, the project, a partnership with Myerscough College, will see new classrooms, workshops and offices and a courtyard area for training.
While there will be space for exhibitions and other activities in a public conservatory.
Plant beds and outdoor learning will also be carried out.

The work is expected to be completed later this year.
The glasshouses were one of the highlights of the estate in the 1970s before they fell into disrepair.
