STEVE Price will not be letting his players get carried away with a third successive win that leaves Warrington Wolves out in front in Super League.
He felt his men played their best spell of the year in assembling a 16-0 lead in the first half, when Josh Charnley bagged two tries.
But it took a second score from Ryan Atkins to fend off a Huddersfield fightback after the break.
Vote for the Wire man of the match
Mixed feelings are understandable, Guardian verdict
“I thought that the first 33 minutes were the best we've played at the start of this season,” said Price.
“Then we had a lapse just prior to half time and carried it on when we went out again.
“We went error, penalty, try, then we gained ascendancy and we looked like a really hardnosed football team who knew what they were doing and went into a really easy control mode.
“Overall it’s a really good past month for us.
“Huddersfield haven’t had two strikes at the start of the season and they were up for this game.
“They had a red-hot dig but I thought we showed a polished display.
“It was pleasing to score 32 points but there's a lot more levels for us to go to.
“It's very pleasing to kick off the season with three wins.
“There's still areas we need to keep on improving.
“The players have told me this is a bit of a bogy ground so it's good to get the two points.”
He picked out hooker Daryl Clark’s monumental effort in tough circumstances.
“I was really pleased with Daryl,” he said.
“He was crook (ill) all day and to bang out 80 minutes was a hardnosed performance.”
He commented on the displays of other players too.
“I'm very pleased with Josh Charnley,” he said.
“He's started where he carried off last year.
“When he’s coming out of yardage, he's a terrific finisher, and defensively he's quite sound in making the right decisions.
“It was a polished display from Ryan Atkins.
“There was a great cross-kick from Dec for his second try, the big game-changing moment.

“I always felt we were comfortable throughout the game and went 32-10 with seven minutes to go.
“I was disappointed with the two tries at the end.
“There were some good things from Blake Austin and there's some things that are going to evolve over time with Dec and Stef.”
