WHAT next for Warrington Wolves, following confirmation that Kevin Brown has ruptured his Achilles?
It is a blow for The Wire, losing their veteran vice-captain on the eve of the season after gearing up over the past few months for Brown to partner marquee signing Blake Austin in the halves.

And spare a thought for the 34-year-old ex-England number six Brown, whose season is over in what was the final year of his contract with The Wire.
Steve Price’s planning and recruitment for the 2019 campaign means he does have other options at his disposal at scrum half.
Local boy Dec Patton, 23, the England Knights number seven, has patiently been waiting in the wings for another shot at a run in the halves. Last year he mostly figured as an impact hooker.
Another possibility available to Price is to switch England full-back Stef Ratchford to the roll of combining with Austin, and calling on new recruit Jake Mamo to fill the number one role instead.
Of course, The Wire have already confirmed the high-profile capture of NRL and England half-back Gareth Widdop for next season.
And it is possible Price will dip into the market again now to further bolster his options for 2019, should there be a player that fits the bill available.
It is expected that more will unfold in the coming days with the direction The Wire take from here.
