PASSENGERS on a Warrington bus received a fright when its engine set on fire today, Thursday.
At 10.54am, firefighters from Birchwood Fire Station were called to a bus fire in Admirals Road, Birchwood.
They found the fire in the engine compartment and was affecting the back seats.
Crews used a hose reel to put out the fire and damped down the vehicle to ensure the fire was out.
All passengers were accounted for and the bus company arranged for a replacement vehicle and recovery of the affected vehicle.
