Wow it's been a hectic month !
A couple of weeks ago Charlie turned 1 ( *runs to cry!* ) Where DID that time go?!
Everyone tells you that time goes fast when you have kids but you don't really believe it until you have them !
It sounds a cliche i know but its soooo true what they say ! It really does feel like yesterday i was giving birth ( although I am very glad it doesn't feel like it literally !!! ) Charlie is doing amazingly well ! :-) We saw the peadiatrician again who was pleased with him although he made me out to be a complete liar after I spent ten minutes telling her all the things he can do then when she checked him he just sat looking at her like a plum ! lol The only major problem at the moment is his sleeping ( or lack of ! ) he is still waking anything between 10 - 15 times a night !
The peadiatrician thinks it's linked to his visual impairment so has offered to give him a course of sleeping medicine to reset his body clock but I am going to give it a bit longer and see if I can help him change it other ways first ! I am not against using the meds but I would feel happier knowing It was the last resort!
His vision hasn't really changed much , although now he is starting to take some steps and crawling faster we are noticing it more , he tends to bump into things on the right side a LOT which we were kinda expecting as thats the side his vision is worse on!
On wednesday he has an MRI scan booked ! He is going to be sedated for it because there is just NO way he would lie still long enough !
We know there is an abnormality in the brain that the prof THINKS is being caused by a bit missing but hopefully this scan will give us the answers we want and need ! Fingers crossed !
Am DREADING the sedation part of it !!! he has had so many tests and been poked and prodded so many times in the last 12 months i can understand why he gets fed up with it !
